The Band's Levon Helm [ tickets ] will bring a dose of his "Ramble On the Road" series to Nashville's Americana Music Festival [ tickets ]. Guests slated to join the Sept. 17 jam include Sheryl Crow, Billy Bob Thornton, Sam Bush and Buddy Miller, according to a press release.

Tickets are $65 and $45 and are available at Ticketmaster and the Ryman Box office. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.)

This rare traveling performance is an offshoot of Helm's popular Midnight Ramble Sessions traditionally held at his home studio, known as "the Barn," in Woodstock, NY.
Open to the general public, these intimate shows have showcased the work of Emmylou Harris, Pinetop Perkins, Donald Fagen and Joan Osborne, among others.
