Blondie's Debbie Harry [ tickets ] and electronica guru Moby [ tickets ] will help raise awareness for Rational Animal, the ASPCA and 8 other New York-based animal rescue groups by performing at the 3rd annual Gimme Shelter Rock & Rescue benefit concert Oct. 6 at New York City's Highline Ballroom.

Gina Gershon and Beastie Boy AdRock will guest host the charity affair, which will also feature performances by Jesse Malin [ tickets ], Lissy Trullie, Earl Greyhound, Goonsquad, Chi Chi Valenti, DJ Johnny Dynell and Bloody Social.

The Gimme Shelter event will honor and benefit the ten New York City animal rescue organizations working alongside the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals to end euthanasia for healthy animals living in the city's shelters by 2015.
