Rascal Flatts , winners of the 2008 Academy of Country Music Humanitarian Award, continue to prove themselves worthy of the honor. According to a press release, the band--for the fourth year in a row--will be donating a portion of the proceeds from a Nashville show to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University. To date, the group has raised $2.2 million for the hospital.

The special event is scheduled to take place on Oct. 17, and also will feature Taylor Swift. Fans who can't make the show can catch the band at various other stops on its itinerary, which runs through early November.

LiveDaily's Tim Mosenfelder attended Rascal Flatts' set at the
Stagecoach Festival in May and took photos of the performance.
