Rascal Flatts earmark Nashville proceeds for children's hospital

Rascal Flatts once again plan to donate proceeds from their upcoming Sommet Center show in Nashville to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, according to a press release.

Over the past three years, the band's Nashville concerts have raised $2.2 million for the hospital.

"We have been overwhelmed by Nashville's response to the Children's Hospital benefit shows," said Rascal Flatts frontman Gary LeVox. "We have our fans and friends in Nashville to thank for being so generous."

This year's Oct. 17 benefit show will feature opening act Taylor Swift.
