Featured Photos: Nine Inch Nails at the Oracle Arena, Oakland CA - Sept. 5, 2008

Anyone who's ever attended a Nine Inch Nails concert will not be
surprised to learn that attendees (myself included) didn't notice the 4.0 earthquake that happened about 30 minutes into the group's Friday (9/5) show at Oakland CA's Oracle Arena.

The slip of the tectonic plates was a nice reminder: the tour is in support of NIN's newest release, "The Slip," which reportedly had been downloaded over 1.6 million times as of July.

After playing a dozen shows since mid August, Trent Reznor and his band are now enjoying a short respite, but will be back on the road next month. Dates are scheduled across the US, Canada and Mexico through mid December, so fans will have plenty of chances to catch the group. Among the upcoming stops is an appearance at October's Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans. The last time NIN played Voodoo was in 2005, when the band played pro bono after organizers made the concert a free event for the locals who had suffered through Hurricane Katrina.

Here are the photos I took of the action on stage during NIN's show in Oakland.
