Al Jourgensen remains a Revolting Cock

Al Jourgensen announced yesterday (8/18) that, after hearing the Revolting Cocks newest album, "Sex-O Olympic-O, " he has changed his mind about leaving the band. "This is the best RevCo album I've ever done," Jourgensen said in a statement. "As a matter of fact, I think this is the best album--including Ministry, Pailhead, Lard--anything I've ever done, period."

Jourgensen initially planned for the album to be the end of RevCo, but in June, he said the quality of the material had inspired him to slightly change plans and turn the band over to new generation of players. Now, he's decided to stay with his bandmates, record a new album and even spend some time on the road.

The release date of "Sex-O Olympic-O" has been pushed back from this October to February 2009. In the meantime, Jourgensen and guitarist Sin Quirin, vocalist Josh Bradford and keyboard player Clayton Worbeck will return to the studio to begin work on the next RevCo release.

The band plans to set out on a world tour in April 2009. Though Jourgensen won't claim a bunk on RevCo's tour bus for the duration of the outing, he does plan to perform with the band on a few choice dates.

In other Revolting Cocks news, Bradford is producing a direct-to-internet, weekly YouTube TV broadcast. RevCo TV will feature new songs, in-studio footage and will "parlay all the RevCo antics as the band records and prepares for its world tour," according to a press release. RevCo TV is set for a Fall launch.
