Bruce Springsteen Opens Final Leg Of "Magic" Tour With 3-Hour Blowout: See The Video

Heading into the final stretch of his 2008 world tour, Bruce Springsteen rallied the faithful in a 3-hour-plus opener at Giants Stadium on Sunday (7/28).

Fronting the storied E Street Band through a 30-song set peppered with live rarities, the Boss book-ended the night with a pair of classics, opening with "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out and finishing out the encore with the semi-retired "Rosalita."

Springsteen has 10 dates remaining on the 2008 itinerary, which is currently set to end in Wisconsin in a special showcase at the 105th anniversary event for Harley-Davidson.

Of the finale to the Giants Stadium opener, Backstreets.com reported:

After "American Land," and after making like he was done for the night, Bruce came back to the mic and told the crowd, "You ain't got it." He continued egging the crowd on -- "You ain't got it. I still got it... you ain't got it" -- before finally finding them up to the challenge: "Oh yeah? Let's get it on!" No twisting and shouting tonight, that's been left in Europe for the time being -- instead, "Rosalita" came out to jump. "A true fairy tale to open the show," Bruce declared, "and a true fairy tale to close the show."

A video is already up at YouTube, featuring the show's opening song, "Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out."
