Farm Aid Headed To New England

The 2008 edition of the annual Farm Aid concert will take place in Massachusetts this fall, organizers announced today.

Set for Sept. 20 at Comcast Center in Mansfield, the event will once again feature performances from Farm Aid co-founders Willie Nelson , John Mellencamp and Neil Young , as well as Dave Matthews , who joined the organization's board of directors in 2001. Additional artists will be named in the coming weeks.

Tickets go on sale to the general public July 28, and members of the official Farm Aid fan club have access to a ticket pre-sale that begins tomorrow (7/16). More information is available at the Farm Aid website.

Farm Aid's first-ever concert in Massachusetts is considered a bit of a homecoming; the Farm Aid business office is located in the Boston area.
