Concert Aims To Inspire Youth
Common , Akon , Three 6 Mafia , Puddle of Mudd and Flyleaf will perform June 20 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA. The concert is a reward for members of Boost Mobile RockCorps, a national volunteer movement that uses music to inspire young people to get involved in helping their communities, according to a press release; the Los Angeles chapter of BMRC provides local youth with an opportunity to earn concert tickets in exchange for four hours of community service. The concert, hosted by actor/comedian Tracy Morgan, is exclusively for BMRC volunteers.
BMRC volunteer efforts this year include planting trees, wetland restoration near the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers, cleaning up beaches and community gardens, and rebuilding local parks.
