Eddie Vedder [ tickets ], Beck [ tickets ] and Mike Watt [ tickets ] are among the Sonic Youth [ tickets ] fans who were tapped to select songs for a new, limited edition Sonic Youth CD to be sold exclusively at select Starbucks locations.

The disc, "Hits are for Squares," features songs--dating back to 1981--selected by Sonic Youth fans from the fields of music, film and literature. The CD also includes a new, exclusive Sonic Youth track, "Slow Revolution," recorded last year with longtime producer John Agnello.

In addition to Vedder, Beck and Watt, the 16-track disc features songs selected by Catherine Keener, Mike D, Radiohead [ tickets ], Portia De Rossi, Diablo Cody, Allison Anders, Dave Eggers, Michelle Williams, Flea, Gus Van Zant, David Cross, Chloe Sevigny and The Flaming Lips [ tickets ].

"Hits are for Squares," will be available June 10 at select Starbucks locations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, DC, as well as online at the Starbucks Entertainment website.
