Sex And The City Soundtrack Due Soon
Fergie , Jennifer Hudson tour dates, tickets and news">Jennifer Hudson and Joss Stone are among the artists contributing to the soundtrack for the "Sex and the City" movie, due in theaters May 30.
Music producer Salaam Remi (Nas, Amy Winehouse) wrote a new opening song for the film, "Labels or Love," which, sung by Fergie, re-imagines the theme song from the television series as a pop song, according to a press release.
The soundtrack, due to be released May 27, also features a new song from Hudson, who has a part in the film as a personal assistant to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker). Classic cuts on the eclectic soundtrack include Run-D.M.C.'s version of "Walk This Way" with Steve Tyler and Joe Perry. The 14-song disc also features Jem, Nina Simone, India.Arie and Al Green, among others.
