50 Cent [ tickets ] and several members of his G-Unit posse have been hit with a lawsuit brought by the mom of a teen boy who says he was smacked around because he was wearing a T-shirt that represented rivals of the rappers, according to the New York Daily News.

The boy, James Rosemond--whose dad Jimmy (Henchman) Rosemond runs Czar Entertainment and manages The Game, a G-Unit rival--claims four adult males attacked him on the streets of New York City because he was wearing a Czar Entertainment T-shirt.

"It's hard to believe that a 14-year-old boy walking on E. 25th St. at 6 in the evening was attacked by four adult males just because of the shirt he was wearing," said the teen's lawyer in published reports.

The suit brought by Rosemond's mom, Cynthia Reed, targets Tony Yayo [ tickets ], who dodged assault charges in the March 2007 encounter but was ordered to perform 10 hours of community service for harassment, according to published reports. Also named in the suit are 50 Cent, several record companies and Lawal Fletcher, who reportedly was locked up after admitting to smacking Rosemond. A lawyer representing 50, who wasn't in New York at the time of the incident and never faced any criminal charges, reportedly said Reed is just looking for a "quick payday."
