The Eagles have added more dates to their itinerary as they get ready to dive into the US leg of their "Long Road Out of Eden World Tour." As previously announced, the classic rockers will warm up with a May 2 headlining performance at Indio, CA's Stagecoach Country Music Festival and then they'll christen Alpharetta, GA's new Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre with a four-night stand that same month. Since last check, the band has added two-night stands in New York City, Boston and Newark, NJ, as well as shows in Charlottesville, VA, and Moncton, New Brunswick.

U2 is back at work in a Dublin recording studio with hopes that a new album will be in stores by the end of the year, according to the group's official website. The group, which last year spent time in France and Morocco writing material for the forthcoming set, are working with producers Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Prince has signed on to headline the second day of this summer's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. The legendary musician is scheduled to cap off the three-day festival's Saturday, April 26 lineup, which also will feature performances by a lengthy list of acts that includes Portishead, Kraftwerk, Death Cab for Cutie, Dwight Yoakam, Cafe Tacuba and a slew of others.

Fresh off a huge trophy haul from the Canadian Juno awards, singer/songwriter Leslie Feist, has added a number of new dates to her 2008 tour. Nearly 40 dates are lined up for her US summer headlining run as well and fall outing in her home country as she continues to back her latest album, last year's "The Reminder."

"Troubadour," the latest album from country legend George Strait , sold 166,000 copies during its debut week in stores, enough to earn him the fourth No. 1 album of his career. Meanwhile, R.E.M.'s "Accelerate" enters The Billboard 200 chart at No. 2, the "NOW 27" hits compilation climbs two notches to No. 3, Day26's self-titled debut drops from No. 1 to No. 4 and the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" soundtrack jumps from No. 16 to No. 5 thanks the film's April 1st release on DVD.
