Pitchfork Music Festival Adds More Bands

More than a dozen acts have been added to the roster for the 2008 Pitchfork Music Festival , to be held July 18-20 at Chicago's Union Park. Among the newly announced acts are Dinosaur Jr. , Jarvis Cocker, Ghostface & Raekwon, and The Apples in Stereo. Previously announced performers include Public Enemy (performing "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back"), Animal Collective and Spiritualized. More than a dozen additional artists will be announced in upcoming weeks., according to a press release.

The Pitchfork Music Festival also has entered into a partnership with Seattle-based, non-commercial radio station KEXP, which can be heard worldwide at KEXP.org. The station will broadcast live from Chicago in the days before the festival, featuring in-studio performances from festival and local artists. During the festival, KEXP will broadcast selected live performances from Union Park.
