Metallica Celebrates Record Store Day
Metallica will be participating in Record Store Day Apr. 19 as hundreds of independent record stores across the country celebrate what Metallica says should be an internationally recognized holiday, according to a statement on the band's website. The band said it will be celebrating what most people already know; the coolest place in any town to hang out is your local record store.
Metallica, who will be hanging out all day at the Rasputin Music store in Mountain View, CA, plans to chat and sign autographs while encouraging their fans to spend a little money at the record store.
Attendance will be limited to the first 400 people able to snag a wristband. Details can be found on the band's site.
