The Flaming Lips [ tickets ], moe., O.A.R. [ tickets ], and the newly resurrected Blind Melon [ tickets ] will be among the artists performing May 23-25 at this year's Summer Camp Music Festival [ tickets ], according to a press release.

The festival, located 20 miles north of Peoria at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL, will feature more than 45 bands on four stages as well as late night shows, daily musician workshops, on-site camping, and merchandise vending. New additions to the 8-year-old festival include improved greening initiatives to lessen the carbon footprint of the event.

Other artists confirmed for Summer Camp 2008 include Umphery's McGee, The Roots [ tickets ], Sound Tribe Sector 9 [ tickets ], George Clinton [ tickets ] & Parliament Funkadelic, G. Love & Special Sauce [ tickets ] and The New Pornographers.
