SXSW Performer: Danger Radio (Seattle, WA)

Danger Radio is a bunch of neon-clad emo rockers who blend smooth, soulful, Stevie Wonder style with high energy, Cobra Starship-minded electronic dance hooks. Epic choruses take simplistic keyboard chords to the next level, giving every party song a climaxing catchiness. Singer Andrew de Torres has a Justin Timberlake polished vocal quality mixed with an urgent, nasally intonation. This is what it sounds like when dance punks impersonate a boy band, or vice versa. Their EP "Punch Your Lights Out" is available now on Photo Finish Records.

Performing Friday, March 14 at 9 p.m. at Habana Annex Backyard (708 E. 6th St.).
